Fully qualified PMBIA coaches will take you on a 2 hour session, in a fun learning environment, utilizing the latest mountain bike coaching techniques. The course is designed to set you up with strong foundations to take your riding to the next level. We will be focusing on skills that will improve your confidence, efficiency and safety. Once mastered, these skills will set you up ready to tackle the more technical aspects of riding. This course will also look at your bike setup and help ensure that the bike you ride is set to its optimum.

Roman is the only fully qualified LEVEL 2 PMBIA Coach in the region. With his wealth of experience and knowledge he will transform your riding in a very short time to make you feel more comfortable, faster, more efficient and safer out on the trail. Based in Dunsborough and heavily involved with the transformation of the local trails in the region, Romans local knowledge provides him with a solid foundation to give you the best learning experience possible. Ride Local also offers private shuttling & catering options for your private Mountain Bike event. Being a fully qualified chef with hotel management experience in the Mountains of Switzerland, you are in very professional hands.

Lachlan has recently completed his LEVEL 1 PMBIA Coach certification. Being the youngest of our coaches he carries an incredible amount of knowledge and understanding and will be supporting Roman with the Adult Sessions. His involvement in all levels of the club is testament to his dedication of the sport and gives him an incredible foundation of knowledge to deliver his coaching expertise.


Down South MTB Festival Kids Clinics


Come along to our Kids MTB Skills Clinic & have fun learning some new mountain biking skills! We'll teach you skills that will help you to ride more confidently, safely & most importantly… how to have more fun! All skills learned will follow a simplified PMBIA format.

Length: 1.5 hours
Price: $30.00 + Booking Fee per child (6 - 12)

A minimum of 10 participants is required to run the clinics. All participants need to be MTBA members or sign a waiver. Parents are most welcome to join the ride but must also be a MTBA member or sign a waiver. Helmets & closed shoes must be worn & bikes must be in good working order.

STEVE LANE - On Track Mountain Biking is run by Steve, who holds internationally recognised qualifications, that are backed up with measurable results and high demand for his coaching services.  Coaching is tailored for all abilities, ages, fitness levels and end goals, including whole families who want to enjoy the sport together.

On Track runs a number of Youth Development Racing Squads in the South West, coaching some of the state’s best young riders. Steve also participates personally in the state’s WA Gravity Enduro (WAGE) events. 

For Steve it is so much more than providing a competitive edge.  His heart is for the development of character, as well as birthing an enduring deep love and joy for the sport.

JODIE BERRY - Dirt Skills Margaret River Description

Jodie Berry has been riding for about 9 years now.  I started as a way to get fit while having fun and never looked back.  I am always learning and love travelling to other mountain bike destinations to see the sites and ride some varying terrain.  I am keen to get more girls and women into the sport and show them what fun it can be!  I am a mentor for Margaret River Off Road Cycling Associations's Lil' Miss Orca program.  I have my Level 1 Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Certificate as well as MTBA Level 0 and Level 1 and also hold my Remote First Aid Certificate.
